DUPE ALERT! DUPE ALERT! MAC So Ceylon & Sephora Blush Trio Brun N 12

One of my favoriteeee blushes of all time has got to be MAC's So Ceylon Mineralized Skinfinish. I love the warmth it gives to my face, and I think it'd flatter any skin tone. Unfortunately, you can no longer get it at MAC because it is Limited Edition. Even though, I'll have a long while before I finish up one of these MSFs, I'd love to know how to get my hands on it again without spending 50.00 on ebay if it never repromotes again! Luckily, I ran into an amazing dupe! Sephora's Blush Me! Trio Blush in brun N 12 is almost the perfect dupe! It's extremely smooth and pigmented and only 12.00!!! Even the beautiful sheen is right on to point! Sure enough, the MSF gives way more product, but I could settle for Sephora's blush if I couldn't get so ceylon's unique color again. Sephora's blush is a tad deeper, but with a light hand you probably couldn't even tell the difference.

swatched. So Ceylon on the Left and N Brun 12 on the Right

Better Than MAC (and Lancome Juicy Tubes)

ELF is absolutely amazing, for most of their products...they are definitely a HIT..and for 1-5.00, the prices are amazing! A comparison I'd like to make is for MAC Lipgelees and ELF's Super Glossy Lipshines! The color selection for ELF isn't as wide as MAC's (you can still find pretty similar colors though) but....I can say that the two products in quality are pretty comparible...but maybe ELF can be a bit LESS sticky...but their lasting power is pretty much the same and both packaging are pretty similar except I would say MAC applies a bit more nicely. I end up applying either product with my finger anyway for a more even application. But!! All in all, another GREAT product from ELF and for only 1.00 =)

Soft & Kissable Lips!

I went into Ulta one day and like all other make up boutiques, all of the salesclerks/make up artists are always on you trying to convince you to buy buy buy! I gave in and the make up artist introduced me to the Napoleon Perdis line of make up. I recognized the brand, because Sephora use to endorse Napoleon Perdis as well (also Target is currently carrying another branch of the line called 'NP Set'). When the make up artist tried to get me to try a Lip Primer, I immediately thought..."I can just use a regular lip balm, and it'll be the same thing"...but once I put on NP's Auto Pilot Lip Service Lip Primer...I immediately noticed a HUGE difference that no lip balm I've ever used could duplicate! (Keyword, no other LIP BALM) I ended up getting all three of the NP products that they used on me, and I've kept all of them and have been quite satisfied...but I found a GREAT DUPE!!! About a week later, I went into my local HEB and purchased ELF's Luscious Liquid Lipstick because of the great reviews I've read off of makeupalley.com, and once I put it on I noticed immediately the thick, smooth, soothing feeling that reminded me just of NP's Lip Service Lip Primer, and just like NP's lip primer they all come in subtle tinted shades as well (an only for 1.00)! I still love my NP Lip Primer, but it is quite expensive! I purchased a few backups of ELF's liquid lipstick, because the packaging is much more travel-friendly and convenient. I like how ELF's liquid lipstick has a spongey lip gloss applicator. If you are running low on your NP Lip Primer, or have been looking for a great lip primer...these are great to try! Whether you want to spend $25.00 or $1.00. =)Both of these "primers" leave my lips smooth (even if they were cracking prior), perfect for lipstick/lip gloss application. In my own experience, sometimes using lip balm or lip ointment can still leave the dry flakes on your lips (even if I do exfoliate!), making lipstick/lip gloss application looking all wrinkly. I don't recommend using it during the night, because it won't be as beneficial as using a deep conditioning lip balm.
